Jeep® Cherokee / Comanche Transfer Case Linkage Kit
Often referred to by the Jeep community as the “Azzy Linkage,” this transfer case linkage was invented and designed—and is currently manufactured—by Azzy’s Design Works for 1986–2001 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) and Jeep Comanche models.
Update 3/4/26- We have our next batch on the way from our laser cutter. Linkage kits are on backorder, and will be shipped as soon as we can QC, prep, and package them.
____
Tired of your hard-to-adjust Rube Goldberg contraption that never seems to let you put your Jeep® in 4L?
Does your Jeep® pop out of 4H when you flex too much?
We were sick of this happening to us on our XJ / MJ, so we hashed out a kit* that would junk the old "Z" linkage / bell crank / lever from the transfer case, and simply bolt on, creating a stronger and more consistent shifting experience.
This is everything to replace the crummy factory operation.NO DRILLING OR WELDING REQUIRED!
Tested to fit factory Cherokee XJ AW4, AX15 NV3500, NP231, and NP242 combos. Has been used on BA10 transfer cases, but can be harder to adjust. V6 applications may require different hardware, contact us first.
*Can be modified for 241 Rubicon t-case transplant. (see photos)
Not sure which version you need? If your Xj has “Full Time” and “Part time” selections on your shift lever, you need the 242 kit.
XJ Instructions
As always, be sure to look for the MOPAR® hologram on the packaging, our innovative 3rd tab, and, patriotic graphics to know its a genuine Azzy’s Design Works Officially Licensed Jeep® linkage! Please report any copies to the platform on which it is being sold.
